Welcome! This site provides information about efforts to increase transparency in social science.

The slideshow below, the Policies page, the Resources page, and the About page describe the genesis of the American Political Science Association's decision to integrate DA-RT principles into its Ethics Guide and origins of the 2014 Journal Editors' Transparency Statement (aka JETS). Both projects provide innovative new ways to increase the transparency associated with groundbreaking research of all kinds.

Working together, researchers, journal editors, publishers, and professional associations have made important progress on matters of data sharing and research transparency. Our hope is that these continuing conversations will increase the legitimacy, credibility, and openness of intellectually diverse research communities.
